sending goodness

Sending my love and prayers to everyone who got to know Gustav. Terrebonne Parish is still under 24 hour curfew, and they are not allowing anyone back to the parish until Friday at noon at the earliest, and they are probably pushing it back several days. The water is contaminated, no electricity for so many, its so difficult right now for so many people.  Everyone wants to go home, but it is just not safe enough to return.  Be patient everyone…  and be patient on the roads traveling home, and I hope you arrive safe and your home is safe too. hugs and love to everyone affected by...

For everyone preparing for hurricane Rita, my thoughts and are with each and everyone of you. I hope that my family and friends down there take precautions and get the hell out!!! I just may not update this site until I take control of a few things… okey dokie! Scott told me, Angel you have all these glasses filled with water.. now pour them into a bucket! Tim does not have little nuts

Posted on Sep 9, 2005 in Blog | 3 comments

say what?? Let me explain. Little did I know that my friend Tim, aka Timmay, aka Tank has been working so terribly hard since Hurricane Katrina blasted the southern states. I thought Peter had it rough when he was kicked out his hotel that day! :blink_tb: Tim is Peter’s little brother and has been our friend since he turned 16, the legal drinking age back then. :lol_tb: He has been in Mississippi literally working day and night in a tiny trailer with several others. He has no frosty beverages. No ice cold Jager and no pool hall. He sleeps along side his desk and wakes up to fresh...

Peter gives his hotel room to refugees

Posted on Sep 5, 2005 in Blog | 3 comments

Peter is an environmental guy… meaning his work has something to do with environmental safety. I am not sure exactly, but when there is an emergency his company is called for assistance. Due to Hurricane Katrina he is in Lafayette doing important things for the community. Living in a hotel room he works day and night and his “on call” phone hangs on his hip. Peter was working feverishly in the field when his hotel called and was kicking him out his room. whaaaaaaaat? The room was needed for some New Orleans refugees. Peter was understanding but was like What about all...

Positive Vibes

Posted on Sep 2, 2005 in Blog | 6 comments

I cranked up my good spirits this morning. Someone once told me “You are the most optimistic person I know!” huh. well not lately. Not for months. The catastrophe from Hurricane Katrina has left me feeling worthless and helpless. I have wept for days and days. I pray that the people find strength to stay optimistic and look forward to a better future. Some positive things: ~ Dr Clouthier is having a fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. You can find a little info here at Dr Melissa’s Blog They are working on the details and I will update when I see they...
