Work coffee = You wake in the morning ~ shower, dress, shave all the typical things you do before you go to work.  On your way to work, you stop at your favorite coffee shop/gas station and get a magical cup of java.  You get to work with your fresh savory cup of java, and start your day!

Lounge coffee = You wake in the morning ~ you don’t work today.  So you lounge during coffee time.  You carefully measure every scoop and add a little scoop for good luck.  Coffee brews.  You pour a fresh cup of good stuff into your favorite mug.  You sip.  Read drudge report and emails.  You piddle around as you drink your morning coffee and lounge around the house.

So.

If you enjoy your work coffee after you are fresh and clean and at work, then there is absolutely no reason that you can’t do a little exercise before you get fresh and clean.  Right? You still get your lounge coffee on the days you are not working.

I did this this morning.  I moved my ass for 35 minutes.  Nothing mega intense.  15 minutes brisk walking around the lake and 20 minutes on the elliptical.  I am fresh and clean now.  I enjoyed my yogurt while typing this.  I am fixing to grab my work bag and head to the club house for my Starbucks and a place to sit and study.  (my workshop started yesterday)

coffee is the devil

Well my attempt to stop drinking morning coffee has only made me really want a good cup of coffee!

I was thinking if I replace my morning coffee with some crappy instant coffee that it would discourage me from that cup of coffee. Well this is my 5 day of drinking crappy, disgusting, fonky coffee barely a half of cup can I get down. And what has it done?? it has made me want the biggest hottest cup of coffee ever!! I haven’t bought any coffee, so I don’t have any and that sucks… or does it?

Coffee is my reasoning behind me feeling chubby and fonky. Seems I can’t start my morning without a cup of coffee. Seems I can’t work out after a cup of coffee because it would make me throw up. Seems I can’t workout before my morning coffee because then I won’t want hot coffee after a workout. Seems I can’t workout after lunch because I already have showered. Seems I can’t workout after dinner because I am full and my husband is home. Seems there is an awful lot of cant’s in this paragraph and they all point to my coffee. I really feel like I need to ditch this habit …

I think I drink coffee because it has so many great memories..

Growing up my daddy would bring me and my sister Faith coffee in bed. I had morning coffee with my family over breakfast for years! Even in my adult life sitting around having coffee with my brother and sisters. Gordon always had early morning coffee 6am or earlier, when I lived with him we enjoyed conversation and coffee in the morning. My brother Scott, when we lived together we always had morning coffee together ha, I was always amazed how much sugar he uses!! My sister Darlene, every time I visited she would bust out grandma’s perculator for some tasty morning coffee and chat. My sister Faith, I think I shared the most coffee with. Coffee at home, coffee at 5:30 am while studying Spanish at the coffee bar Eban worked at. Coffee and chat at Starbucks. My mom and dad.. coffee with them when I visit. Nothing like Mom or Dad making coffee and the aroma fills the house and wakes you up. Sounds weird maybe, but I have really happy memories surround coffee. I have a connection with my family when I drink coffee. .. or that’s what it kind of feels like. It is the feeling I get when I drink coffee….

I put cream and sugar in my coffee, probably to cover the taste of coffee haha. Coffee is the devil. I wonder what I can replace my coffee with so I won’t use it as a crutch on why I don’t take better care of myself. I wonder what will give me the feeling of ahhhhh when I hold a hot cup of coffee in my hands in the morning.

New Ending:
It all comes down to a decision. and yes we can decide. We have huge brains ya know! I am sort of managing to have a cup of coffee and still get in some activities during the day. Yesterday I went to the gym at 3:30 in the afternoon! Today I did some stretches on the balcony. Positive thoughts and healthy vibes to everyone! I have a long way to go!

It is hard to believe that there are more non coffee drinkers out there than coffee drinkers. What about all those freaking starbucks and dunkin donuts around. I know you drink coffee damn it.
