Remember when Pat ate that Hoochie Mama?  Well, that same day we all walked around Main Street and strolled around  in antique shops, watch the bubble man, well we saw the bubble girl on this day, even the bubbleman needs a day off!  We found a nice tavern and spent some time in the air conditioning while we sipped on some frosty beverages.

I was hoping to find a large wooden rocker in one of the antique shops.  I would love a big hefty old wooden rocker ~ so I can rock the baby as I sing lullabies…  awww. I already have some favorites picked out ~ well that is for later! (click any pic below to see the album, or click here)

The point of this post is that we had no agenda.

We just walked, spent time together, talked and laughed, and had a good ole time.  Just wanted to remind everyone to try and have some down time every now and then.  Try to enjoy a day of rest with no agenda!  It’s fun!  Fun like eating candy!  or in this case Dark Chocolate covered Strawberries!  yummy!  Must go back to Sweet Cascades today and get me some of that goodness!  I feel blessed to be able to stay at home right now…  being barefoot and pregnant…   Now I just need to put on my cooking hat and use some of those recipes my mom gave me!  Pat deserves some good cooking!  You know what they say, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!  lol

I am working at home….  see? can’t you tell how busy I am … I mean come on I am wearing glasses for petes sake!

I did a LOT of yoga and stretches today.  Lexie and I have a challenge going on..  I work on all of my splits (left right and straddle) and she works on her scorpion. (pssst Lexie, Aunt Angel has her right split already and working on the left!)

Nothing much going on.  Working on a project that needs to be shipped out on Monday (G$ thats for you)  and doing some basic house cleaning. This weekend Pat and I are going to Fogo de Chao to celebrate being alive and well. Yay! now your turn…

tell me something that makes you happy!

I am feeling inspired today! I chatted with Tim this morning and he got me pretty motivated to keep moving toward my goal (I will do a pull up one day!)   I also found some old pictures of an earth day festival I spent with Dr C. and this man always finds a way to inspire me and keep reaching for my optimum level of health. (and he doesn’t even have to do anything!)

For the first time since my surgery I am feeling pretty vibrant! It was fun to apply a little eye shadow and put some lip gloss on… I think I wore mascara like twice since I left my job!! So right now I feel like “i’m just a girl!” lol  oh and I did some yoga today too!

try this delicious smoothie for yourself.. I fix it for Pat often and he loves it! So its not just me!  hhahaha p

my breakfast today:
1 frozen medium banana, sliced
1 tbs organic peanut buter
1/2 cup almond breeze
4 cups raw baby spinach
a little water
Directions:
I use a magic bullet for my smoothies ~ it is so convenient!
add frozen banana, then peanut butter, pour in almond breeze, jam all the spinach in, add a little water until half way up the spinach. Then Blend and enjoy! So easy and so freaking delicious!

Here are some pictures of sweet Lexie from several years ago…  its a good reminder how beautiful we all are  and how precious life is.  Children represent a life clock for me…  just look how fast life ticks.

Make good decisions!

Its been a stressful week for everyone I know! Everyone I talk to has something going on, a relationship issue, health issue, work issue, etc. Some sort of issue. I went to Annapolis Monday for a region meeting and my new regional manager appears to be a smart woman, a leader, and she is full of optimism and strength. (even though she is dead tired I am sure!) Her introduction speech was really nice …. she actually talked about the Four Agreements! Although she didn’t say it was the Four Agreements, I knew exactly what she was talking about. I try to live my life by those agreements!
It just reminded me … you know.. that I am in control of how I interpret things. I can decide if I am going to have a good day or bad day. I make the decision to he happy and optimistic or bitter and negative.

I have the power!

Its Friday already! (well almost)

Last week, I bought some items to clean the truck. Towels, leather wipes, cleaner wipes, tire cleaner and tire sparkle stuff. I took the car to the mega suck place (gas station with monster vacumn) and sparked up the trailblazer. I worked for a couple hours on it, and now it only looks 4 years old!

Feels good to be productive!

its going to be a wonderful weekend….   seriously… super fabulous..  look at me skip around with my butterfly net…   its pink…  and pretty…  and I bought it half price from work.
