Today was the best day! The day started with a good 5 hour sleep from 1 am to 6 am! Pat took Mariella from 6 to 9 and I was able to catch up on some much needed sleep. We had free coffee from the lounge. Morning lounging around the apartment. Mariella took a good 3 hour nap, and during this time Pat and I cleaned up the apartment, washed the clothes, and got things looking like a home again! I even took a shower! lol

We put on our Saints gear and took our first Saints family picture. Thanks to Mike and Denise, Mariella had her first Saints shirt! She was so adorable and she actually stayed up and appeared to be watching the game during the first quarter! Mike and Denise started a new fun tradition! Each year they are going to give Mariella a Saints outfit and we get to take a pretty pic of Wee Baby in her Saints gear. Each year, Denise is going to add an 8 x 10 Mariella Saints picture to her wall, how cool is that? Thanks Mike and Denise!

Who Dat! We had fun, wish we could have spent it with more friends and family. We were invited to watch the games with a friend in Pennsylvania, I was just nervous on taking care of Mariella out of the house. …. I guess I must get out the house sooner or later! …. guess it is later! Plus we just got back from bringing Wee Baby in from urgent care, I was worried about her poop, but not to worry it is all fine and dandy. Thanks Shelly and Jason for thinking of us! Maybe next time!

Here is a pretty picture I took several weeks ago on one of my morning walks ~  I enjoy looking at it, so I wanted to share.  I especially like the line in the center ~  

Beam me up Scottie! I want some some wiener spaghetti and I want it all weird like!  I saw this on the world wide web, I am not that clever to come up with this myself ~ I stumbled on it a while back and thought……

hummm I must make me some alien, squid like, weird looking tentacle tastiness.  I am so going to push dry spaghetti noddles through hot dog slices, boil to perfection, and top with a gourmet sauce!

What a wonderful way for your kids to get involved in dinner preparation. So much fun and so clever! I must say, next time I do this, I will break my noodles in half. Having those long noodles made for some really BIG bites! We didn’t mind so much though.

On the blog I stumbled on a while back, the lady had use some carrot slices too.  She heated them in the microwave a bit then stuck the dry noodles through.  It was such a fun idea, wish I could give them credit, but I can’t find them.  Oh well! Thanks for the idea Mr. World Wide Web!

To make yours, just cut up some hot dogs, break your noodles in half and push several through each piece of weiner.  Boil till noodles are tender, toss with your favorite tomato sauce.  And ENJOY!

Sony has a new gizmo!  It is a stupid piece of sh*t!    Pat stumbled this to me, I think Peter stumbled it to him..  either way I had to share because I was laughing out loud and I thought it was hysterical! I am going to Best Buy to get me one tomorrow!  bwahhaha

Pat and I watched Quarantine last night…..  and well Pat didn’t like it to much!  He kept thinking about the movie and how much it irritated him, so he decided to share his feeling with everyone.  He will sleep better tonight now..  sweet dreams y’all…  sweet dreams…

Next » Morning walk ~ Trolly Stop #9

Darlene, Pat and I went to the US National Arboretum and had a delightful time hanging out at the BAK pond.  You know, Big Ass Koi Pond!   It was quiet, we started to feed a few fish…..   before you knew it we had a mother load of koi in front of us gulping, gasping, and swimming on top of one another to get the fish food!  It was so much fun, I was so happy Darlene had like 5 dollars in quarters, so we were able to use the fish pellet gum machine to get many handfuls of pellets to throw to the fishes.

Pat and I were listening to the news in the background a couple days ago…  A Man in Maryland, gets a serious infection on his leg. That is not funny, but his catch phrase sure is! lol He said something I thought was so funny, I nearly pissed my pants!  Not sure why it was so funny, but Pat and I grabbed our remote and watched it like 10 times!!!   Heheheee just wanted to share, you might not find it funny ~ but I sure did!

No offense to the man in the video, it is just the phrase he used is something I say all the time..  so to hear him say it on the news was hysterical! bwaaahahhhaaaa I still laugh when I see it!

Growing up, my parents sang many songs and riddles to us. MANY! I have so many wonderful songs to sing to my baby, songs that were sung to me on a regular basis when I was younger. Heck, my daddy and Uncle Charles sang us a few just a couple months ago when I was visiting in Morgan City! (note to self, find that video clip)

My daddy sang us a song about paw-paws… picking them up and putting them in your pocket. I never actually took a moment to consider what a paw-paw actually is? What is a paw-paw? I just thought it was a song, a cute fun song my dad sang to keep us busy. I can see him now, throwing his arm in the air and scooping it in a half circle singing …………..

…  hahahaa my dad was and still is very animated!

Sunday June 28, 2009 ~ Darlene, Pat and I went to the US National Arboretum. We had an amazing morning/early afternoon walking around and checking out the scenery and the massive koi pond! As we walked through the gardens, Pat said, “look at those pods in that tree” and Darlene and I were all over finding the sign to figure things out. lol Darlene had to jump on a brick barrier to reach over and use her cane to hold back the foliage so we could see the sign.

It was a Pawpaw Tree! I couldn’t believe it. I immediately said, Daddy didn’t make that up! It’s a real tree! He probably picked pawpaws at a pawpaw patch before! and of course Darlene and I started singing the song, and Pat just looked at us a little funny!  Visit Edible Landscaping for more info on Pawpaws!

Over the weekend, Pat found some Hot and Spicy noodle soup for only .99 cents!  So, he chucked it into the shopping cart next to my organic spinach, carrots and cucumbers…   We both have been ramen free for months and months, and let me tell you he was pretty damn excited to try this new brand. As soon as we got home, he began to prepare his noodles.

Under the lid, he found a packet of “SOUP BOOSTER”

We laughed, making wise cracks about what the hell is soup booster anyway?  Well, let me tell you, we were not laughing for long… we went from laughter poke fun status to Holy crap!  Back the F up! this noodle shit is out of control melt down status.   Yeah, we were pretty freaked out ~

As you can see , this Soup Booster really does pack one hell of a boost!

People please, do not try this at home, Pat nearly got spanked by a wet noodle.  If you attempt, I suggest goggles, helmet, and if you are a guy, a nut cup.   It is for your own good.
