annapolisThey say family is the most important thing in life.   but…..    is it?   Do you appreciate your family or do you take them for granted or hold grudges?  Do you love your family or resent them?

I had a dream, I was dying…   no one would help me.  I begged the family to take me to the hospital so I can live through the night and nobody would.  Everyone had excuses “It was too expensive.  I am sorry I can’t take you.  You can’t afford the hospital.  I have to take a shower.  I need to make a phone call. They don’t take your insurance.”  No one would take me…   I was dying… and no one would help me.   I needed to get through the night so Pat could help me. After hours of bleeding, begging and guts coming out of my mouth, Pat showed up to take me to the hospital.

Well, I just wanted to send out a reminder to everyone out there, that family is important.
If you are holding a grudge against someone, drop it.
If you are avoiding someone, quit it.
If you are hiding something, show it.
If you want to get something out in the open, open it.
If you owe someone, pay it.
If you only call when you need something, stop it.
If you don’t call at all, make the call.
If you expect the person to be there, don’t assume.
If you have something on your chest, get it off.

    Angel, sorry about that dream. That was a terrible dream…luckily, it was only a dream. Hopefully you will have some really good dreams soon to forget about that one.

    When it comes to the family, I'm guilty of not calling enough. I think about everyone a lot, but don't call that much…

      Hey Faith, that dream was the one I was telling you about in North Carolina… its been on my mind the last couple weeks so I just had to get it off my mind.

    And I love my family! Family is the most important thing in life. I know if it wouldn't have been for family I don't know how I would be going through all of this now.

      Love you too Kellie! and of course I LOVE everyone in and out the family. That is just the kind of person my parents raised! :-)

      I am so happy your parents lives close by to you… I wish I lived closer to mine, so I can drop by for some afternoon coffee and chatter!

    Terrible dream . . . but beautiful outcome . . . reminding others to love and not take family for granted. If you've ever seen the movie Mrs. Doubtfire, in the end of the movie Mrs. Doubtfire is replying to a child's question about family and Mrs. Doubfire explains how family isn't always a nuclear family with mommy, daddy, and 2.5 children. She explains that family is those whom we love and love us in return. I love the Ganaway family! My own biological family is shattered and broken and many have passed away already. I'm so grateful to have been (and to still be) loved my the Ganaway family. How blessed I am. Thank you.

      Thanks Terri, I feel truly blessed too. I can't remember the scene in Mrs. Doubtfire, but you said it perfectly "family is those whom we love and love us in return."

      Hope to see you real soon, we should have a family gathering… actually I think we should get together for Fathers day, it is the day before my birthday this year.

    WOW! Sounds like your family has real issues I hope are resolved soon. Dreams are usually sub-conscious coming to the surface. I hope the ones that it pertains to gets the HINT and takes your advice. Great website by the way! :mrgreen: :?:

    I love all of you and I never really knew our family was so much more fun than others. Just always assumed that we were like everyone else. It was until I got older and realized that our family truly is blessed and also just plain fun to be with.

    I believe the reason we are blessed is the way we were raised….i thank God everyday for giving me the family that i have…..great parents and great brothers and sisters which also include Terri and Angie!!!!! wishing everyone a great day!! Love to each and everyone of you!!!!
