Turn your New Year’s resolutions into reality!
No time like the present to determine some needed changes in your life and or lifestyle. I know you were waiting for the big day to make any life long decisions. I know you drank and ate too much yesterday because you knew that today was the first day of the rest of your life! I bet you even finished the entire bag of chips, just so it would not be in the pantry. . .
That day is here! And here is a little formula I worked up….
Change your I want to I will and determine the how. Then get your ass moving into the direction you want it to go. By the way, you do realize that you have control over your ass right?
Example:
So you want to make a dentist appointment? No You will make that appointment. How? Call your dentist. If you don’t have one find one. Can’t afford it, try a dental school. Just do it and stop finding excuses.
You want to do yoga. No you will do yoga. How? Start small and at level you can appreciate. The web is loaded with yoga information and don’t forget the library! Google Yoga and find lots of yoga goodies. Do not wait to buy the perfect yoga pants or the pretty yoga mat. Just start it and stop finding excuses.
Keep your goals small. Ever heard of “baby steps?” If you say I want to eat healthy, that may be to big, break it down and be specific.
I want to eat healthy.” Try I will eat 3 pieces of fresh fruit every day. How? I will slice a banana and throw it in my morning cereal, pack an apple with lunch and enjoy a satsuma in the evening when I watch Grey’s Anatomy.
See the pattern?
Make your New Year’s Resolutions a reality, you are worth the effort! I am making mine today, I have lots of things I want to do this year differently! I’ll post mine if you post yours!
Have a glorious New Year! We love you 2009~

Happy New Year to my terrific family. I love and miss everyone.
Hey Kellie! I am happy you are going to achieve some great things this year! Set those goals and make them SMART
S = specific
M = measurable
A = attainable
R = realistic
T = timely
Good luck with achieving your goals!
Here are a couple things I will accomplish by the first of February. I'll keep sharing because I have a lot of specific goals I want to reach…. If I write them down, its like I will be holding myself accountable!
1. I will be totally caffeine free. For the last month I have been making my coffee 1/2 regular and 1/2 decaf. For the next 3 weeks I'll do 1/4 regular and 3/4 decaf. For the forth week, I'll do all decaf with my extra luck sprinkle in regular. At the beginning of February, I will be completely caffeine free!
2. I will give blood. I have been putting this off… I will get myself a blood donation card and give on a regular basis. At the website, there is even an email reminder… I will be setting this up this week.
there is two.. 378 left to go!
I will lose 20 pounds!
And fit in my mini skirt again
Hopefully by Mardi Gras!!!
Terri, I am losing 20 pounds too! I am down 1, only 19 left to go! I am tracking my calories and activity at http://www.sparkpeople.com and I have juiced up my yoga, and so far running a 10 minute 20 second mile. My goal is to eventually get to an eight minute mile by the time I reach my goal weight!
Good luck to you!
I am going to get in shape. Don't care how much I weigh or what size my clothes are, I just want to feel good and healthy.
me too Candice… I was remembering when I felt my best and I was doing yoga lots and I was feeling strong and flexible. That is what I want to feel like again, strong, flexible, vibrant and happy!
Cheers to reaching our goals!
