Pat and I were planning on going to Fugo De Chão yesterday…. however something about the drive, the 20$ parking fee and the endless supply of meat kept us from going. In addition to Fugo De Chão, there are 2 places I been wanting to try.. The Great Sage and Cheeburger Cheeburger. As you can see by the enormous burger below… we went to Cheeburger Cheeburger in Columbia, Maryland.

The best thing about Cheeburger Cheeburger… the name! It is a whoot to say it out loud. Go ahead say it .. “cheeburger cheeburger” !!!! isn’t that fun! This burger establishment is growing and it was voted the best burger in 28 cities! OMG this must be a freaking awesome burger!!!
When we first walked in, it was friendly and fun.. Pat almost bought a t-shirt, he loved his first impression so much..
So order the burger, pick a cheese and choose from the 29 burger toppings.. and you can pick as many as you like.
For me: “the beginner burger – the classic” medium well, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapenos, mayonnaise and a specialty topping for .99 cents .. bacon.
For Pat: “the semi-serious burger” medium well, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapenos, wet peppers, black olives and mayonnaise.
We shared a regular order of half fries and half onion rings, plus ordered the 5 signature sauces: creamy cheese, Texas horseradish, habanero jelly, creamy jalapeno and chili lime.
I was expecting a damn fine burger.. and although it looked real nice and delicious, it was far from it. Pat and I went for the cute olive on the fancy pick… we both chomped on it at the same time.. Pat reached for the root beer and I reached for the napkin. I had to spit it out! Pat drank half his drink washing it down.. what the hell? I love olives, and this one was awful, rancid, disgusting…
ok… forget the olive. On to the meat! chomp! chomp!
I was very disappointed. The burger seemed – wet – it was juicy in the middle, but not flavorful, it was like water in there… its hard to describe, but the burger was watery..? huh? My tomato wasn’t even a slice of tomato. It was the very bottom of the tomato, bumpy and empty in the middle, it was just a hallow ring of tomato skin. *sigh*
My fries were very very brown, soggy and flavorless, like fried in very old oil and kept under a lamp. The onion rings were spongy.. I didn’t even taste the onion!
The dipping sauce was absurdly disgusting. The only edible one was the Texas horseradish and that is pushing it.
I wonder if my taste buds are worthy of much healthier food? Or was this just a bad location… or maybe the cook was having a bad day.. what ever the reason, I can not believe this place was voted best burger in 28 cities. I found it disgusting. If I happen to ever decide to go back, I’ll be ordering a shake or a malt.
My waitress was a doll. 5 out of 5
The atmosphere was awesome. 5 out of 5
The food sucked ass. 1 out of 5

Super mom, super wife and super tired! :-) I created this website to keep my friends, family and internet enthusiast entertained. :P I try to take pretty pictures, make healthy foods, play arts and crafts and much more!
Yeah, I agree. What a let down. We felt so terrible about the damn thing we had to go out and buy a Play Station 3 to get it out of our thoughts. I see a Master Card commercial coming on:
Coke : $2.50
Basket of french fries and Onion rings: $5.50
2 burgers with way to much toppings: $12.50
The thought that I almost bought a shirt to promote that shit hole: PRICELESS
I love Pat's rendition……The Cheeburger Cheeburger in Baton Rouge was equally as disappointing. What a shitty burger!!!!!!
Dude, good to hear from you. yeah I see a trend with this chain.
I hate trying new restaurants and they turn out to be disappointments.
I've never heard of this chain before but I can tell Shane – dude, the best burger in Baton Rouge is Brewbachers!
That's almost become a given whenever I go back home – to go eat @ brewbacher's. When I was in high school my dad used to pick up good burgers at a New orleans po-boy somewhere in Denham I think. (it's not part of the New Orleans chain of restaurants and I think it's probably long gone now.) They had good burgers and good curly q's
Hey Robin! Brewbachers is on my list next time I visit Baton Rouge.. do they have good beer there? with the word "brew" in it .. makes me think of beer!
ummm…beer. I think just the standards – maybe an Abita though. I think the brew is mostly just in the name. Joan usually gets their burgers while I have trouble deciding between their burgers and their poboys! And for sides it's a toss up between chili cheese fries, onion rings, or fried pickles (much better than the ones we had at Floyds)
