  1. Christmas 2007 means I finally get my pickled bell peppers!

Toasting margaritas' with the family and my brother Gordon

Then taking a picture for my mama!

    Hey Gordon….

Christmas or not if you ate all the bell peppers —

I'll shoot ya in the neck with a pellet rifle

    MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

  2. We started the day off with Starbucks Christmas Blend coffee (this tradition has it's roots in Texas).

Then we openend some presents from under the tree and in our stockings while listening to Christmas music (this lovely tradition started when I was a wee little child…thanks Mom and Dad…I mean Santa!).

We actually just got back from Walgreens (this tradition started back in Colorado). Nothing like going to Walgreens on Christmas day and buying yourself a new magazine and thanking the Lord you don't have to work today.

Later, it's gluvine time (this Christmas tradition started in Germany). One of my most awesome experiences was shopping the high streets in the snow in the Bavarian mountains while drinking a cup of hot mulled wine….I did this several times.

For nourishment today, we will have my famously yummy tomato and bread soup (this tradition started my first year in California when money was really tight and we had to make use of stale bread). No worries, despite the name, the soup is really the tastiest soup around!

Right now this very minute, I am enjoying a mimosa (this tradition started in England, where I tried to make Christmas morning as special as possible because I was so far from home). Another English tradition is going to be our dessert today….we will be having a traditional British chocolate pudding.

My favorite tradition though, is reminiscing about my childhood Christmas mornings….I thank the good Lord everyday for such a wonderful childhood and lovely family.

  3. I went outside looking for kids riding new bikes…. children skating around on new skates…. kids fumbling around with new remote control cars… instead I found nothing… I guess the new generation of kids are busy playing indoors with there new xbot, or nintindo wii, or watching there new dvds and listening to new music on their new ipod or something…

    no shiny new bikes….

    no unicycles….

    no stilts…

    no pogo sticks…

    no bow and arrow sets…

    no bee bee guns….

all of which I remember from my kiddy days…. I'll be sure to buy my children those types of presents throughout the years …. forget the video games, lets to outside and play!

Pat and I took down our Christmas tree today… we boxed up everything and its going out of the house.. to either someone who wants it from my work.. or to the dumpster. This is the last Christmas we spend in Maryland… the last Christmas we spend without family… the last Christmas without my parents and the ones we love…

    peace and love,

    Angel

  4. This Christmas I had my coffee then we started cooking. I was so forward looking to spend this Christmas with my family. We had dinner with Randy's family and had a wonderful time. Then we left there to come back home to finish cooking. I have to say it was so nice to have everyone here with the exception of Faith, Eban, Angel, Pat , Christopher, DJ, Angie and Terri. It was so wonderful to hear all of the laughter and noise. I enjoyed every bit of it great memories for my first christmas in my new home. I get all teary eyed when I think about it…sorry ya'll……but I thank god for giving me the family he has given me. and for giving me a wonderful daughter Kellie who has brought so much joy in my life and in turn she is giving me so much more with her meeting Derrick and then giving us two beautiful grand=children…..Lexie and Trinitie…..wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!! Love to each and everyone in my family…..

    Love,

    Darlene

  5. I actually cooked Christmas dinner for the family at Granny's house. (and no, there was no vomiting) Then later in the day I went to Nanny's house and got to hang out with Maw Weenie, Paw Huey, Mel, Scott, Kellie, Derrick, Lexie, Trin, Dad, Riplee, Lynette, Jacob, Randy, Kevin…Holy Cow we have a big family. I had a great Christmas and I am totally blessed to have such a huge awesome family. It always amazes me that we can spend all our time together laughing and truly enjoying each others company. I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as I did and good luck to all in the New Year.

    Love you all

    Candice
