Bodies

I adore my body! And yours too! I am in love with anatomy and I am forever intrigued and in awe of how our bodies work. I took 2 Anatomy classes in college and was impressed with my memory as I traveled through the Bodies Exibit in New York. Thinking about anatomy reminds me of a particular doctor… you may know him too, here is his blog.

I was wondering how I would feel about seeing the exhibit, and I have to tell you I was blown away. In my anatomy class we dissected cats, pigs, frogs, starfishes etc but of course never a human. We studied different systems in a cat not a human.. not the same… for sure….

If you have the opportunity to visit a Bodies near you, please do… you will be amazed and you will appreciate you body more than you ever have before.

I found a gallery on the web of some of the pictures of the Bodies show, this person was a sneaky boo and took some shots. There was no photography allowed at the NYC show. Anyway I am glad they have pictures for us to see. Here are some pictures we are lucky to view, also check out the official website too.

  1. Glad you enjoyed the exhibit Angel. We went to the Houston one. I think I wrote about that on one of the old posts. It really was incredible.

  2. I went there with the family in Houston and it ROCKED!!!! Really, it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Damn my Granny for saying I couldn't be a coroner because it wasn't "normal". I mean what 10 year old doesn't want to do an autopsy. I might go back to school for that actually. It would be cool to study an examination of a body after death to determine the cause of death or the character and extent of changes produced by disease.

  3. Coroners rock!! :smile2_ee:
