   I talked to Darlene about an hour ago and she said they were going to take a 2 hour nap and wake up around midnight. The phone was already starting to get a bit static.

   Hoping and praying for everyone to be safe in Louisiana.

   Just talked to Darlene for a minute. It was about 2:30 am in Louisiana. They were getting another nap in. She said the electricity went out but came back because her alarm clock screen was blinking.

   I got an email from Darlene and she said Mama and John were at Scott and Mel's (thank God).

   Can't stop thinking about everyone….love you all.

   Yeah….we have had it on all night…it did cut out for about an hour from 5 – 6 am our time…but it is working right now.

   Just talked to Darlene…it's about 5:25 am for them and she said the electricity went out at 2:45 am and has not come back on yet. She also said the wind has picked up quite a bit.

   She sounded really tired and was going to try to get a little rest before it got more intense.

   I have not heard from Huey yet. The phone lines and cell phones are not letting me through today.. Juanita has talked to Kellie, and they are ok. New Orleans is still flooding. Mom's work place is more than likely flooded, she can't get through to anyone…

   Just wanted to let you all know that we are ok. Power finally came on yesterday afternoon and cable last night. I finally got to see what New Orleans looks like. We are all doing good. Cell phones still messed up but you can reach me at home if needed.

   Hello there…

   Just to let you all know we finally got power last night….but was too tired to check the internet…we still don't have cell phones not sure when we will…so if you have to reach me call at home or work….thanks for all the prayers and phone calls…next time I want to make sure Derrick takes Kellie and Lexie away from this and we will be right behind them also…but i hope we don't have to worry about this again…

    Wonderful to hear everything is getting back to normal there for you all. It breaks my heart about the mess there so close to home…
